The shipping/receiving clerk provides the initial inspection of incoming commercial items from suppliers and the final quality check on the orders shipped to the customer. They help to promote the high standard of customer service that Maag has built. Ensuring that all orders are received accurately and shipped on time to our customers. Position Description - Tasks, responsibilities, competencies Execute the shipment and receipt of all products, materials, and supplies. Tracks, traces and updates the status of incoming and outgoing shipments. Operates a forklift to load/unload trucks and to remove/replace items on inventory shelves. Inspects, identifies, tags, and receives all commercial items ordered from suppliers Packs items securely for shipment on UPS, Fed-Ex, DHL, and truck shipments. Uses current business system to print packing slips and identification tags for sales orders. Works with purchasing to resolve discrepancies on incoming shipments from suppliers. Pulls, issues, and delivers items for Production orders, spare part orders, projects, and inventory. Maintains an accurate inventory transaction in SAP. Operates a handheld scanner. Maintains a clean, neat, and member-ready area. Engages with vendors and drivers with a positive attitude. Cycle count warehouse inventory daily. Maintain and apply 5S and Lean concepts in designated work areas. Other tasks as assigned by the manager. The incumbent considers all interests of quality, accident prevention and occupational safety as well as environmental safety in a preventive manner within his scope of responsibility and supports the avoidance of damages to people, facilities, assets, material and environment actively. Work Environment While performing the duties of this job in a factory setting, the employee may be exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud and PPE may be required. While performing the duties of this job, the employee is regularly required to talk or hear. This position is very active and requires standing, walking, bending, kneeling, stooping, crouching, crawling, and climbing. The employee must be able to lift items up to 50 pounds. The employee is frequently required to stand; walk; use hands to finger, handle or feel; and reach with hands and arms. Specific vision abilities required by this job include close vision, distance vision, color vision, peripheral vision, depth perception, and the ability to adjust focus. While performing the duties of this job, the employee will be in a warehouse situation and subject to changing environmental conditions. Including, but not limited to: temperature variations, humidity, rain, snow, wind and direct sunlight. Education Mandatory High School diploma or equivalent education (additional technical skills a plus). Basic computer skills.
