Actalent Quality Control Lab Technician in Kennesaw, Georgia
Description:
QC Tech will be responsible for labeling chemicals correctly, calibrating equipment, pH testing, sampling blends, and testing tablets. They will then release the blend for packaging. D2D will be going into the warehouse, getting cups, pulling samples of powder, labeling the samples, bringing them back into the lab and then doing the tests, recording information and entering them into into ERP system, printing out the label, and then going back to blend to issue a release. Eventually will go into the warehouse to release raw materials – inventorying raw materials, counting, turning lot numbers, pulling samples, bringing them back into the lab, doing testing, and releasing the results. Samples will be delivered to labs - in line control charting.
Specific Job Duties and Responsibilities
• Responsible for all steps of routine experimentation including sample prep, equipment orientation, instrument control, data processing, and analysis
• Accurately maintain and update laboratory databases. This includes transferring critical information from physical lab notebooks to digital systems and
ensuring data integrity and consistency. (or anything similar that’s in line with “Data Management”)
• Conducts product performance and field testing
• Approves, holds, and/or rejects products based on laboratory analysis versus specifications
• Ensures compliance with current regulatory requirements, following GMP guidelines for data reporting, and preparation of validation protocols, raw data
generation, and final reports
• Conducts reexamination of borderline results, research technical literature, and communicates opportunities for process improvements
• Multi-tasks between many projects to ensure the various completion deadlines are met
• Recommends testing parameters, completes experiments and project work as assigned
• Provides analytical and technical support for quality-related product investigations
• Completes data reviews for out-of-specification test results issuing SPC charts of historical results
• Optimizes and recommends lab improvements to support 5S initiatives
• Other duties as assigned
