Insight Global Infrastructure Director in Kennesaw, Georgia

Job Description

Insight Global is assisting a client in identifying a Director of Infrastructure for a 3-month contract, likely extensions for a role north of Atlanta, GA. This role does require 4 days a week onsite. This person will be responsible for managing the team responsible for architecture, design, implementation, administration, and support of IT infrastructure services including data center, cloud, virtual desktops (e.g., VDI), remote access capabilities (e.g., Citrix), configuration systems (e.g., SCCM),and other systems that support our businesses. It is both strategic and tactical in nature and requires the ability to identify, communicate, and balance steady execution of daily activities with longer term project implementation. The CIO is looking for someone with a strong leadership background as well as experience leading Infrastructure design projects, specifically Azure and VMware environments.

 Develop and implement an IT infrastructure strategy that aligns with our business goals and objectives, ensuring high performance, security, and scalability.

 Provides strategic direction and oversight for the full life cycle of IT systems, working in close partnership with peers, and identifies where common approaches, solutions, and shared platforms provided by Infrastructure organization could drive efficiency.

 Manage the implementation and support of information systems for the Companys computer operations.

 Proactive identification and remediation of potential problems.

 Team management for infrastructure team

 Evaluate and recommend new or enhanced infrastructure solutions.

 Maintain a high service level in the daily performance of the Companys operating systems; troubleshoot and resolve technical issues with same.

 Resolve production incidents and manage changes to the environments.

 Builds successful stakeholder relationships with other IT and business key stakeholders by developing a clear understanding of business needs, acting as a trusted advisor, and ensuring cost-effective delivery of IT services to meet those needs.

 Develop and implement departmental operating standards and procedures.

 Prepare activity and progress reports for management regarding information systems operations.

 Confer with and advise Infrastructure organization on policies and procedures, technical problems, priorities, and methods.

 Coordinates problems with appropriate technical, professional, and service personnel, along with users who reported the problem.

 May manage the processing of incoming service requests to ensure courteous and effective resolution of end user issues.

 Develops the maturity of Infrastructure organization to improve efficiency, deliver new innovations and increase collaboration with other IT and business areas (e.g., through Agile, DevOps, platform, and product approaches).

 Continuously evaluates the business value of the infrastructure organization, including the use of metrics such as Key Performance Indicators, Outcome Driven Metrics and Service Level Agreements.

Skills and Requirements

5 years of leadership

o Open to different titles, if they are a high-level leader with how they think through projects.

 Heavy design of infrastructure

o Able to give examples of how you led infrastructure design projects.

 Lead teams that built out VMware, Azure environments

o 500+ users

 Comfortable with onsite 4 days a week

 Bachelor's degree

 Strong networking background, ideally as an architect Architect in the past

 Citrix knowledge

 Azure certifications

 Cyber Security / ransomware null
