Job Title: General Laborer

Job Description

Seeking general construction laborers with at least 1 to 2 years of experience. The Cape Porpoise Pier project includes the replacement of the bait shed, the addition of a Harbormaster office, the replacement of fuel tanks and fuel systems, the expansion of the pier, and a new float system for recreational boats and a pump-out station. Pay rates will be prevailing wage and will depend on your skill level but the range is $21 - $45 an hour. We are looking for people to start on November 25th and the project will last a year long.

Responsibilities

• Assist in the replacement of the bait shed.

• Support the addition of a Harbormaster office.

• Help with the replacement of fuel tanks and fuel systems.

• Contribute to the expansion of the pier.

• Participate in the installation of a new float system for recreational boats and a pump-out station.

• Operate power tools and heavy machinery as needed.

• Perform general labor tasks as directed.

Essential Skills

• At least 1 to 2 years of general construction labor experience.

• Strong mechanical ability.

• Proficiency with cutting torch and welding (MIG and TIG).

• Experience with heavy timber and concrete construction.

• Ability to lift standard weights of 50 pounds, with occasional lifting up to 70 pounds.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience with power tools.

• General labor experience in construction settings.
