Description
Amazon's Fulfillment Network is seeking an experienced Senior Finance Analyst to provide strategic financial analysis and support for our FC Operations. In this role, you will partner closely with FC Leaders and Regional/Network leaders to drive financial decision making, budgeting, and performance optimization across our growing fulfillment network.
As a Senior Finance Analyst in our Australia operations, you'll play a core role in driving financial optimization and strategic decision-making across our fulfillment network. By closely tracking performance metrics, analyzing operational data, and building detailed financial models, you'll identify opportunities to enhance efficiency and productivity within our Australian FCs.
You'll also provide critical financial insights to help our business leaders understand the implications of different scenarios and initiatives. Your analytical expertise and recommendations will be vital for our Australian stakeholders as they make strategic decisions to support the growth of our fulfillment network.
In this role, you'll have the opportunity to work independently on complex projects, while also collaborating closely with our Australian FC Finance, ACEs, Maintenance, IT and Operations teams. You'll be predominantly based in one of our corporate offices in Australia, but will be expected to occasionally visit our fulfillment sites to strengthen your understanding of on-the-ground operations.

Key job responsibilities
Analyze financial data and operational metrics to identify trends, risks, and opportunities within individual FCs as well as across the broader fulfillment network
Develop and maintain detailed financial models and forecasts to support FC budgeting, headcount planning, and capital expenditure decisions
Collaborate with FC Controllers and Operations leaders to provide insightful financial reporting, variance analysis, and recommendations
Support network-level strategic planning by assessing financial implications of network design, capacity changes, and other operational initiatives
Participate in cross-functional teams to evaluate the financial impact of new processes, technologies, or business models for FC operations
Identify and implement process improvements to enhance financial reporting, visibility, and decision support capabilities

Basic Qualifications
Experience in identifying, leading, and executing opportunities to improve, automate, standardize or simplify finance or business tools and processes
Experience working with large-scale data mining and reporting tools (examples: SQL, MS Access, Essbase, Cognos) and other financial systems (examples: Oracle, SAP, Lawson, JD Edwards)
Experience applying key financial performance indicators (KPIs) to analyses
Experience working with stakeholders
Preferred Qualifications
Bachelor's degree in BI, finance, engineering, statistics, computer science, mathematics, finance or equivalent quantitative field
Bachelor's degree in finance, accounting or related field
Experience with advanced use of SQL for data mining and business intelligence
