The Opportunity:
WSP is currently seeking a highly motivated Junior Geotechnical Engineer to join our Ground Engineering and Materials Team as of May 2025. You will join our highly successful team, using your skills to assist in the execution of various high-profile and critical projects throughout BC and Yukon.

What you can expect to do here:
You will perform geotechnical investigations for buildings, highways, bridges, retaining walls, slope stability, and municipal infrastructure.
You will coordinate and carry out field reviews of construction works and material testing of geotechnical materials.
You will assist the senior team in preparing proposals and technical reports.
You will be responsible to conduct geotechnical engineering analysis.
What you’ll bring to WSP:
You have a graduate degree in Geo-Engineering, such as Geotechnical or Geological Engineering.
Experience in the Geo-engineering field in Canada is preferred, but not essential.
You are eligible to register for EIT status with EGBC or are already in the application process.
Prior experience in consulting geotechnical engineering is considered an asset.
You hold a valid BC Driver’s License.
You possess strong technical, oral, and written communication skills.
You have experience working in remote worksites, including forestry, mining, or other industrial applications.
You have exceptional analytical and project management skills.
You can work well under senior direction, under pressure, meet deadlines, and cooperate with a team in various environments.
Salary range (in British Columbia): $ 61,600 to $ 84,700
The final salary awarded for this role may vary from the above range based on several factors including, but not limited to, relevant education, qualifications, certifications, experience, skills, seniority, geographic location, performance, and business or organizational needs.
