• Summary of the Maintenance Technician: Location: Kearney, Nebraska
• Schedule: Monday - Friday 6:45 AM - 3:15 PM, must be available for on-call duty and occasional weekends/holidays
• Pay: $19-22/hour DOE

About the Role: As a Maintenance Technician, you will play a crucial role in maintaining and repairing production equipment, support systems and facility infrastructure. Your responsibilities will include proactive and reactive maintenance tasks, troubleshooting and ensuring compliance with safety standards and regulations. This role requires strong technical skills, attention to detail and the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.

Duties of the Maintenance Technician:

• Monitor and enforce safety standards conducting equipment inspections.
• Perform repair and preventative maintenance on production equipment and facility systems (electrical, mechanical, plumbing, HVAC, etc.).
• Troubleshoot electrical and mechanical systems using schematics and diagrams.
• Maintain accurate maintenance records and manage spare parts and assets.
• Assist with project planning, status reporting and coordination of contracted work.
• Support installation of new equipment and participate in capital projects.

Requirements for the Maintenance Technician position:

• Minimum 2 years of maintenance experience preferably in a manufacturing environment.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Effective communication skills (verbal and written).
• Ability to prioritize tasks, meet deadlines and adapt to changing priorities.
• Strong problem-solving skills and good judgment.
• Team-oriented with the ability to work independently.
• Basic computer proficiency and attention to detail.
• Must wear appropriate work attire and safety footwear, be able to lift up to 55 pounds and stand for extended periods.
