TITLE: Community LPN
IMMEDIATE SUPERVISOR: Medical Director
CONTROLLING SUPERVISOR: Chair
STATUS: Full Time
LOCATION: Kanza Health Clinic, Newkirk
QUALIFICATIONS: Licensed Practical Nurse with current Oklahoma License. Minimum of two (2) year experience preferred. Must have proficient computer skills. Candidate must also possess professional and personal integrity, have respect and sensitivity for a culturally diverse population and have excellent people skills. Ability to provide knowledge of health record aspects of patient care and an ability to accurately and completely document related clinical data. Must have a valid drivers license.
RESPONSIBILITES AND DUTIES:
- Provide nursing services to patients under Physician direction and orders.
- Assists in patient flow (i.e. Lab draw, EKG, immunizations, Assist with minor surgical procedures).
- Assist with health and disease awareness presentations, screening and other activities designed to increase awareness of major health issues in Native American population.
- Order lab/medical supplies when needed.
- Assists other members of the health care team, when time allows, to improve the efficiency of medical records maintenance.
- Performs other duties, consistent with the position, as required or assigned by the immediate supervisor or controlling supervisor.
All new hires will be required by the Kaw Nation to submit to a pre-employment drug screen. Failure to pass the pre hire drug screen will lead to withdrawal of the job offer or termination of employment.
