Inframark, LLC VP of Water / Wastewater Collections & Distribution in Katy, Texas

Job Description

Responsible for hands-on oversight of day-to-day field programs for water utility repairs on collection & distribution systems as well as providing support and oversight of managers within his/her assigned area. Responsible for competitive business strategy, cost-reductions, efficiencies and expanding into new markets.

  • Organization size: 100+ employees

  • Location: State of Texas; Key markets are Houston, Austin and Dallas/Ft. Worth metro areas.

  • Reports to: President

RESPONSIBILITIES

  1. Oversees day-to-day operations of P&L, assets, workforce and fleet.

  2. Define and implement operations strategy, structure, and processes.

  3. Manage monthly reporting and annual budgeting process; provide regular performance updates to the senior leadership team

  4. Monitor performance to proactively identify efficiency issues; propose and implement solutions

  5. Maintain a working knowledge of all phases of operations

  6. Coordinate support to operations throughout the business through partnership with other departments and support functions; key collaborations in Safety, Procurement and Finance.

  7. Leads all aspects of people management including hiring, orientation/on-boarding, performance management, salary changes, promotions, training and development, transfers and terminations. Monitors and reviews staff work and coach’s appropriate improvement.

  8. Ensures that all SOPs are followed as well as TCEQ, EPA, DOT, OSHA and other requirements are met.

  9. Drives constant communication with the account management team regarding ongoing work.

  10. Ensures site visits are being conducted to ensure safe work practices and SOPs are being followed.

  11. Ensure all trucks and equipment in assigned area are maintained and kept clean.

  12. Assists Director of Operations in department, area, and capital budgeting.

  13. Provide reporting for area as requested.

  14. Escalates any compliance issues, employee disciplinary actions, promotions into Lead roles, issues that may place a client or Inframark at risk to the Director of Operations promptly.

  15. Participates in the development and implementation of goals, strategies, and operating policies/procedures.

  16. Other duties and special projects as assigned

Education/Experience : BA/BS in related field and/or 10+ years’ water/wastewater experience preferred. Five years’ previous supervisory experience required.

Licenses/Certifications : Valid Texas Driver’s License. TCEQ Operational Certificates preferred.

Technical : Advanced proficiency with Microsoft Office applications & internet. Ability to work with basic office equipment & phone systems. Working knowledge of OSHA requirements, DOT regulations & Utility SOPs. Proficiency completing all regulatory documentation, reports and correspondence. Able to use systems and data to understand business trends.
