Job Description:
Education:
- Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Computer Engineering, Systems Engineering or other related Engineering discipline.
Work Experiences:
Minimum of 7+ years’ experience developing within a Business Intelligence function using MicroStrategy BI technology stack.
7+ years’ experience in the design and building of enterprise data warehouses and Business Intelligence solutions.
7+ years’ experience working with end users to gather requirements and build technical solutions from concept to implementation.
Practical Experience with Data Warehouse concepts including Star Schema & snowflake.
Familiarity with development methodologies like Agile; Scrum is a plus.
Expert knowledge of data modeling, SQL, BI and Enterprise Reporting
Expert knowledge of at least one Datawarehouse platform such as Netezza, Teradata etc.
Familiarity with any of the cloud environment in the context of Datawarehouse platforms such as Big Query, Snowflake etc.
Skills:
Data warehouse, MicroStrategy, SQL, MicroStrategy Command Manager Scripts, UC4 Scheduler, RDBMS etc.
Excellent interpersonal, written, and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface effectively with individuals at various levels, both internal and external
Analytical, with strong problem-solving abilities and creative resolution skills
Self-motivated, with the ability to work on multiple projects in a fast-paced environment
Ability to remain organized, pay strict attention to detail, and meet critical deadlines within a high volume, fast-paced environment
Excellent analytic skills with the ability to use key tools to dive deep and provide analysis consistently on performance metrics
Strong Microsoft Office program experience, including Excel, Word and PowerPoint
Ability to manage tasks with high attention to detail and accuracy
Responsibilities:
Design and develop overall BI capabilities, including reporting and analytical solution
Work with the data architect to ensure that logical and physical data models support the analytic needs of the business
Provide BI technical guidance to projects and teams, ensuring that new initiatives enable effective data reporting
Collaborate with key business users to identify needs and opportunities for improved data management and delivery
Train, develop and mentor BI Engineers, and act as the technology expert for BI function towards the entire software development life cycle as appropriate
Design, develop and architect MicroStrategy Schema Objects & Application objects
Develop Mobile BI applications and dashboards
Provide technical knowledge and business support to the BI team
Ensure effective communication of user requirements
Participate in code reviews and ensure that all solutions are aligned to pre-defined architectural specifications; identify/troubleshoot application code-related issues; and review and provide feedback to the final user documentation.
Act as a technology subject matter expert by proactively acquiring knowledge as it relates to technology changes and advancements, conduct POC’s, develop prototypes and reusable frameworks.
Develop a thorough understanding of Academy policies, procedures and safety rules
