Overview of the job

The role is that of a Site Occupational Health Physician. The candidate must be a registered healthcare professional possessing a degree in modern medicine (MBBS) alongwith a post graduate Associate Fellow in Industrial Health (AFIH) or Certificate in Industrial Health (CIH) or Diploma in Industrial Health (DIH) from a recognized institution with 2-5 yeas of Occupational Health and Wellbeing experience.Candidates with Business or Healthcare Management experience as well as People Manager experience shall be preferred.

    Responsibilities of the role

  • Build and maintain site Health Systems capability through continual assessment of business needs and use of the Health Systems Key Elements (HSKE) audit tool and process

  • Participate in Medical Emergency Response, Crisis Management, and Business Continuity Planning

  • Ensure compliance with country related laws and Corporate governance requirements

  • Ensure compliance with P&G mandated Occupational Medical Testing and Regulatory Programs, such as, but not limited to: Enzymes, AGMs, Respirator, Hearing Conservation, Forklift Operators, etc.

  • Provide care consistent with scope of practice and in accordance with site medical directives and standing orders. Troubleshoot employee health-related concerns and case management.

  • Ensure system established to provide preventive and medical management of employees at risk for occupational infections including international business travellers.

  • Lead Health & Wellness Programs consistent with the Company’s Vibrant Living Program

  • Delivery of quality care via Health Services / Vibrant Living Health Center

  • Business alignment and integration

  • Collaborate with and establish effective working relationships with business partners including site leadership, HR, HS&E, Legal, Employee Relations and others Routinely engage business leaders to review HSKE performance and compliance; and update them on performance, issues, and strategy on a regular basis

  • Ensure site medical programs are consistent with the Medical Function by working closely with Regional Medical Leadership

  • Professional Development

  • Maintain an active, unencumbered license and expertise in Occupational Health and involvement in internal and external networks and meetings to ensure implementation of relevant systems

  • Regularly meet with Manager and Sub-Regional Leader to discuss additional projects or responsibilities and align on work priorities

  • Develop and manage a highly competent team of health professionals that provide superior services to deliver against health and wellness strategies. Accountable for the talent management of the team which includes a mix of employees and contractors.

  • Foster an atmosphere of openness and information sharing to encourage a culture of high awareness, transparency, and diligence with respect to Global Medical expectations
