Job Description
The SCADA Engineer to oversee the installation, commissioning, and maintenance of SCADA systems for Project Seabird. The role involves ensuring seamless system integration, conducting trials, reviewing technical drawings, and managing documentation. The ideal candidate will possess expertise in SCADA technologies and demonstrate a proactive approach to problem-solving and project management.
Key Responsibilities
SCADA Installation and Commissioning :
Supervise the installation and integration of SCADA systems with other operational technologies.
Plan and execute commissioning activities, ensuring alignment with project specifications and timelines.
Documentation and Reporting :
Prepare and maintain comprehensive documentation, including as-built drawings, operation manuals, and commissioning reports.
Ensure compliance with industry standards and regulatory requirements.
Trials and Testing :
Conduct functional and performance testing of SCADA systems, ensuring reliability and accuracy.
Collaborate with stakeholders to resolve any issues identified during trials.
Technical Reviews and Support :
Review technical drawings, system designs, and equipment specifications for SCADA systems.
Provide technical support and guidance to contractors and project teams.
System Optimization and Maintenance :
Identify opportunities for system optimization and improvements.
Supervise routine maintenance and troubleshooting activities post-commissioning.
Qualifications
Educational Background :
- Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering, Instrumentation, or a related field.
Experience :
Minimum of 15 years of experience in SCADA system installation, commissioning, and maintenance.
Experience in managing large-scale industrial or infrastructure projects preferred.
Technical Skills :
Proficiency in SCADA software platforms
Knowledge of communication protocols
Familiarity with PLCs, RTUs, and related hardware.
Other Skills :
Strong problem-solving and analytical skills.
Excellent communication and stakeholder management abilities.
