Senior Tax Analyst

What You Will Do

The position is responsible for:

• Ensuring that direct tax operations comply with Income tax legislations and the group’s norms and standards within the framework of the objectives defined by the Group Finance and Central tax team.

Key Responsibilities

• Candidate should be well versed with the Income Tax Act, International tax and Transfer Pricing provisions.

• Should liaise with the tax consultants and ensure compliance to all tax related statutory requirements.

• Should be in a position to handle the Tax Audit and file tax returns independently.

• Review and co-ordinate details for tax filing, tax computations, tax audits, transfer pricing audit and other tax compliances

• Preparing and reviewing the details for scrutiny assessments.

• Collate and review data for tax appeals at various appellate stages

• Interface with various other departments and group companies for tax matters

• Interact with auditors and advisors to resolve their queries on tax matters

• Preparation of advance tax working on quarterly basis.

• Review of draft agreements and suggest optimal tax structure.

• Advise on applicability of withholding tax on domestic inbound transactions.

• Follow-up on status of Income Tax assessment, tax refunds, Order giving effect and filing of rectification applications.

• Review and update the tax status charts and contingent liability chart regularly.

• Keeping track of all notices, hearings and update notice register.

• Update teams on recent changes in the law and keep himself/herself updated with recent judicial pronouncements at various courts.

Qualifications

What We Are Looking For

Required Qualifications

• Should have strong exposure to Direct Tax & Transfer Pricing compliance & provisions.

• In depth experience in handling yearly tax assessments, Co-ordinating with AO for refunds, Order giving Effects, passing rectification order etc.

• Technically strong with solid knowledge and experience in India corporate tax compliance

• Demonstrate strong interpersonal, communication and presentation skills

• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills and meticulous in his/her work.

• Possess good business acumen and highly adaptive.

• Proactive, resourceful and hands-on with good initiative.

• Independent worker who is able to work well with minimal supervision.

Desired Qualifications

• CA with 4 to 7 years of post-qualification experience in Big4s or with large MNCs from manufacturing or service sector
