Payments Platform, is responsible for clearing more than 500 million transactions a year globally, with a value of over 1 trillion dollars (Yep! that is not a typo, trillion with a T). This is a mission critical endeavor, with plenty of interesting engineering challenges in a space that is ripe for innovation. Open banking, ISO 20022, real-time/instant payments, and modern cross-border schemes are revolutionizing clearing and settlement. Our Platform is becoming the gateway to existing and emerging global payment rails; and we are using an innovative integration stack to “speak” the many schemes and formats. Beyond the transactional aspect, our differentiating value is contextual. A rich data backbone and deep integration with enterprise data sources allow us to offer powerful omnichannel APIs and extension points used by developers that build customer facing experiences such as: P2P payments, loans, bill-pay, commercial cross border payments, AP automation, and many more.

We are beginning our journey of transforming the technical landscape in our teams and looking for engineer who can work towards strengthening our data management capabilities, determining and mitigate risk around data integrations, authorization, and maintenance. Build patterns of reuse for data migration, use Google cloud platform and data analytics solution to improve data based decisioning, data warehousing.

Primary Responsibilities:

  • Supports the implementation and maintenance of Enterprise Data Governance policy requirements and standards for data and data systems within your domains/business units

  • Gain expertise on data consumed and produced and works with Business Stewards and Business Process Owners to implement data controls

  • Ensures the defined Data Quality Control rules and Technical and Operational Metadata are documented, maintained, and updated on a recurrent basis

  • Responsible for communicating, maintaining and publishing the results of Data Quality Controls into the Enterprise Data Quality Scorecard

  • Partner with data Business Process Owners to define mitigating controls for identified risks involving critical data and address issues, including but not limited to, data accuracy, safeguarding and terminology consistency

  • Own and manage access to restricted data, and the communication for access requirements to applicable cross functional teams

  • Manage, and/or produce critical data within respective domains/business units according to the definitions of System of Origin (SOO), System of Record (SOR), or Authoritative Data Source (ADS)

  • Own end to end execution of key reporting and control processes related to data

Qualifications may include but not limited to:

  • 7 years of direct work experience in large scale/enterprise data projects, with at least 3 years of direct experience relating to creation and execution of formal data governance and/or data management programs

  • Proven record of accomplishment of understanding business challenges and strategies and connecting those to data and capabilities

  • Working knowledge of current and upcoming data governance, data management and data product techniques and trends, with a point of view on the evolving concepts and best practices

  • Program management experience, with stakeholders across a diverse, global set of business units

  • Ability to work and communicate with both business and technical teams at various levels

  • Ability to put enterprise thinking first, connect the role's agenda to enterprise priorities and balance the needs of customers, partners, colleagues & shareholders

  • Demonstrates learning agility, ability to make decisions quickly and with the highest level of integrity

  • Willingness to test, learn, fail, and improve is critical

  • Must have a positive, collaborative leadership style with colleague and customer first mindset
