The Hershey Company Maintenance Supervisor - 2nd Shift in Kansas

Location: Lawrence, KS This position will support 2nd Shift (3PM-11PM). * Position Summary:* Manage the Maintenance Technician team onsite at a location. Responsible for maintenance operation on all shifts at the plant. Operation includes parts inventory, PM’s, repair maintenance and equipment improvements. Oversee the assembly of equipment as it comes in, maintain it through preventative maintenance, and troubleshooting of production equipment. * Roles and Responsibilities:* * Measure and report the effectiveness of maintenance activities and team member performance. * Utilize SAP to manage parts. * Maintain parts inventory to include ID of critical parts and safety stock levels along with accuracy. * Communicate job expectations and coach team members. * Determine staffing levels and assign workload. * Maintain items record, document necessary information and utilize reports to project maintenance status. * Identify areas of improvement and establish innovative or adjust existing work procedures and practices. * Attend required company meetings and training and participate in constructive discussion. * Follow all safety rules and regulations while performing work assignments and adhere to all policies and procedures as specified in company manuals and as directed in the employee handbook. * Conduct self in the presence of customers and community to present a professional image. * Proactively seek and participate in available company-sponsored training, to develop and advance knowledge base and skill set. * Maintain a positive and professional working relationship with peers, management, and support resources, with a constant commitment to teamwork and exemplary customer service. * Perform all other duties as assigned by management in a professional and efficient manner * Qualifications and Education Requirements:* * High School diploma or GED required. * Five years of industrial maintenance lead or supervisory experience * Three years food manufacturing experience * Knowledge of safety (OSHA), quality (FDA), productivity, demand creation, inventory and stewardship processes * Computer program knowledge including Microsoft Office, computerized maintenance management system (CMMS) and ERP systems, SAP experience a plus. * Ability to create accountability and to lead by example * Be a self-starter; ability to work independently as well as with other personnel and management. * Team building, decision making and people management skills * Preferred Skills:* * Engineering degree * AIB certification * PLC programming experience * AutoCAD experience * Work Environment & Physical Demands:* * Ability to lift 40 pounds repetitively. * Ability to bend, twist, and stand on your feet for an entire shift * Exposed to food production environment and warehouse environment which may involve noise and fluctuating temperatures.
