We are seeking an experienced Superintendent to oversee and coordinate the construction of sports complex facilities across multiple locations, including Salina, KS, Bowling Green, NE, and West Minister, NC. The projects include upgrading locker rooms and field houses, as well as constructing concessions and restrooms. The role involves extensive travel with mileage reimbursement, per diem allowances, and housing provisions.
Responsibilities
Provide coordination and supervision of design-build and bid-build projects on sports complex facilities.
Collaborate with clients, design team, and contractors to ensure project success.
Build and maintain a jobsite culture of 'Safety First'.
Ensure Quality Control and Quality Assurance throughout the project.
Manage daily coordination and logistics of subcontractors on the jobsite.
Collect, review, and submit shop drawings, product data, and test reports.
Build and update construction schedules and 'look ahead' schedules.
Review estimates with the operations team to ensure logistical and site considerations are included.
Author and execute the Method of Procedure (MOP).
Complete daily and weekly reports and maintain a photo journal of project progress.
Essential Skills
5+ years of experience as a site superintendent on ground-up vertical projects, preferably in hospitality, K-12, or commercial construction.
Experience supervising civil scope on construction projects, including streets, parking, retaining walls, and utilities.
Proven track record of running projects from start to finish, especially projects with budgets above $30 million.
Proficiency in ProCore and Bluebeam or similar software.
OSHA 30 certification.
Strong communication skills with clients, subcontractors, and internal teams.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience in sports construction is highly preferred.
Ability to develop and manage turf construction projects.
Work Environment
The role involves traveling to various project sites with no set home rotations, which will depend on the project schedule. Mileage reimbursement is provided for mobilization and demobilization, along with a $30 per diem for meals. Housing accommodations in hotels will be paid for, or a daily per diem up to $500 per week if a camper is used. A company truck will be provided, or a truck allowance ranging from $100 to $200 per week. The work environment emphasizes safety, quality control, and effective communication with all project stakeholders.
Pay and Benefits
The pay range for this position is $48.00 - $57.00
