Motrex LLC Training Supervisor in Kansas City, Missouri

Overview

Developcompetencies of individual employees by designing and conducting training programs that will enhance employee’s workplace performance. This role supervises andassiststhe training coordinator and the material handler trainer totrain new employees in all required operations and manufacturing tasks specific to their department.You willbe responsible fortracking and performing training needs assessments, designing, and delivering curriculum and learning materials for managing all phases of training interventions.

Responsibilities

  • Directly supervises andassiststhe training coordinator and material handling trainer with all trainingactivities

  • Map out annual training plans for management andoperators

  • Design and develop training programs using training manuals, workinstructions / SOP’sandvideos

  • Selectappropriate trainingmethods or activities (e.g.simulations, mentoring, on-the-job training)

  • Track training by employee andmaintainrecords

  • Conduct site-wide training needs assessment andidentifyskills or knowledge gaps that need to beaddressed

  • Use known education principles and stayup-to-dateon new training methods and techniques

  • Develop and prepare educational/training aids and materials, asneeded

  • Develop training metrics and competency assessments to gauge overall impact of trainingprogram

  • Assess instructional effectiveness anddeterminethe impact of training on employee skills andKPIs

  • Track feedback from trainers and trainees after each educationalsession

  • Partner with internal stakeholders and liaise with expertsregardinginstructionaldesign

  • Maintain updated curriculum database and trainingrecords

  • Host train-the-trainer sessions for internal subject matterexperts

  • Manage andmaintainin-house training facilities andequipment

  • Evaluate effectiveness of training courses and provide summary reports to management,determineimpact of training on employee skills and corporategoals

  • Assesses training needs.

  • Monitor employee performance and response totraining 

  • Maintain a clean and orderly work areain accordance with5srequirements.

  • Comply withsafety and health regulations for the protection of self and fellow workers.

  • Comply withcurrent Quality Systems requirements.

  • Follow safety policies to include the use of PPE.

  • Perform other work as assigned by Management including 5S cleaning.

Qualifications

Physical Requirements:

  • Occasional lifting from grams up to 50 pounds.

  • Sitting, standing, walking, bending, and twisting as necessary.

  • Will be exposed to extreme environmental conditions (hot, cold, humid)

  • Must be able to wear required personal protective equipment such as gloves, respirator, safety glasses, metatarsal guard shoes, etc., as required in established policy.

  • Must work from 10 inches to 60 inches above the floor and reach 24 inches side to side

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, training, manufacturing, or related field preferred

  • Experience developing learning strategies that include digital learning preferred

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus

  • Work experience as a trainer, coach, or training facilitator, preferably in a manufacturing environment

  • Strong computer skills, including Microsoft Office, familiarity with web delivery tools

  • Outstanding communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Exceptional organizational skills, including the ability to handle multiple assignments and prioritize work load

Education, Experience, Skills Required:

  • Bachelor’s degree in education, training, manufacturing, or related field preferred

  • Experience developing learning strategies that include digital learning preferred

  • Manufacturing experience is a plus

  • Work experience as a trainer, coach, or training facilitator, preferably in a manufacturing environment
