Description
Burns & McDonnell is considered a leading consultant in aviation and federal facilities industries. We are engaged in high visibility projects, both large and small, at major airports and military bases worldwide. You will be involved in a variety of unique design projects, from aircraft hangars to microgrids, from airport terminals to military training facilities.
Experience in the following areas of project design would be of high value:
Power Distribution Systems
Voice and Data Communications
Generators and UPS Equipment
Security, Access Control, and CCTV Systems
Fire Alarm Systems
Medium Voltage Systems
Qualifications
Bachelor's degree required in electrical engineering from accredited program. Minimum 7 years related experience.
Candidate must be able to lead projects and coordinate with other disciplines/leads
Experience with voice and data, security, access control, CCTV, structured cabling infrastructure preferred.
PE required.
RCDD preferred.
Candidate should be capable of executing complex assignments requiring the use of advanced techniques, resulting in the development of new or improved processes, equipment and/or technological methods.
May develop and evaluate plans for major projects. May coordinate departmental or divisional project studies, reports, or project design assignments.
Provide leadership, guidance, and instruction to less experienced staff members.
Regularly meets and corresponds with clients or outside personnel in addition to some marketing responsibilities.
Candidate should be capable of assisting clients with planning facility improvements for electrical, lighting, communications, and/or controls aspects of projects.
Must also possess the ability to determine project scope, schedule, and budget.
Successful candidate will have excellent written & verbal communication skills along with strong analytical and problem-solving skills. This position requires an individual capable of applying intensive and diversified knowledge of principles and practices to broad areas of assignments.
