Insight Global Project Surveyor in Kansas City, Missouri
Job Description
A client of Insight Global is seeking a Project Surveyor to join their growing team in the Kansas City, MO area. The Project Surveyor will be responsible for survey activities including research, drafting, reading survey drawings and preparation, coordinating field work, field note management, and data collection. Additional responsibilities include:
Coordinate with survey crew, supervise/direct operations
Coordinate with engineering staff as needed
Perform control surveys for aerial surveys, state plane coordinate surveys, public land surveys, metes and bounds survey, ALTA surveys, GPS surveys, construction surveys, and as-built surveys
Create, reduce, and check orderly field notes for standard surveying operations
Coordinate and supervise field work for a variety of standard types of surveys
Manage overall operations, including record keeping, time keeping, job charges, coordinating field crew, scheduling, equipment, and supplies
Read and understand survey drawings and engineering plans
Drafting and computer-aided drafting (CAD)
Use various microcomputer operating systems and hardware peripherals
Staking and stake marking for a variety of standard types for survey
Assist with field safety procedures, such as traffic control and OSHA requirements
Interact with clients, customers, designers, managers, contractors, and others

Skills and Requirements
High School Diploma or equivalent
3yrs-5yrs of land surveying experience
Proficient in AutoCAD
Comfortable handling 3-5 projects at a time
Comfortable with overtime Microstation experience
LSIT or pursuing licensure
Ability to process LiDAR scanning into final drawings null
