Job Summary

We are seeking a talented and experienced Executive Chef to join our team at Kauffman Center for the Performing Arts. The ideal candidate will have a passion for creating delicious and visually stunning dishes, as well as a strong background in culinary arts and management.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee all aspects of the kitchen operations, including menu planning, food preparation, and staff management for Catering, Restaurant and Concession operation

• Develop and implement creative and innovative menus for events, weddings, and other special occasions

-Communicates with Kauffman Special Events team to help develop menu and meets with clients

• Ensure that all food is prepared and presented to the highest standards of quality and consistency

• Manage food costs, inventory, and ordering to meet budgetary goals

• Train and mentor kitchen staff to ensure a high level of skill and professionalism

• Maintain a safe and clean kitchen environment in compliance with health and safety regulations

Qualifications:

• Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Executive Chef in a high-volume, upscale restaurant or event venue

• Culinary degree or equivalent certification preferred

• Strong leadership and organizational skills

• Excellent communication and interpersonal abilities

• Ability to work well under pressure in a fast-paced environment

• Knowledge of current food trends and techniques
