Job Title: Electrical Engineer

Job Description

The Electrical Design Engineer will be responsible for the design and implementation of electrical systems. This company is an engineering firm that specializes in technology, sustainability, and building performance modeling within architectural and sports lighting design. This role includes power distribution, low voltage infrastructure for IT and security systems, and lighting design. The role involves calculating loads, fault current, and voltage drop, as well as performing field surveys and providing construction phase support.

Responsibilities

• Design power distribution systems, including riser diagrams and panel schedules.

• Develop low voltage infrastructure for IT and security systems.

• Design lighting systems, including fixture selection, controls, and lighting calculations.

• Implement low-voltage systems such as fire alarm, security, and controls.

• Calculate electrical loads, fault current, and voltage drop.

• Conduct field surveys and provide support during construction phases.

Essential Skills

• Experience & proficiency in Revit.

• Experience with power distribution and low-voltage systems.

• Knowledge of National Electrical Code (NEC) and standard industry design practices.

• 1-3 years of relevant experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• Experience in lighting design and control systems.

• Ability to perform electrical calculations accurately.

Work Environment

Work involves both office and field environments. The role requires the use of Revit software and adherence to industry standards and codes.
