Honeywell Electrical Engineer II in Kansas City, Missouri
Summary
This position is for an Electrical Engineer supporting a major program within the Global Security (GS) organization. This Engineering position will support the test domain and include, but not limited to, the following activities:
Perform electronic circuit design for interfacing with units under test and automatic test equipment.
Operate Computed Tomography (CT) equipment and utilize graphics software to compile and interpret images.
Perform software development of test sequencing and test operating software between the tester and the unit under test.
Plan and perform testing / data acquisition and perform analysis of generated data.
Generate test documentation and perform verification and validation testing of automated testers to assure all requirement are being supported.
Use statistical and scientific methods to address and resolve critical engineering issues.
The Electrical Engineer II role is an experienced level position performing routine to moderately complex engineering functions on assigned projects or sub-projects of a general nature by applying, standard mathematical, physical science, and/or engineering technologies.
Duties and Responsibilities
Assist in the design and/or project/process management of new and current projects, products, programs, components, tools, and acceptance equipment under technical guidance of higher-level technical experts.
Prepares product or project definitions, manufacturing drawings and specifications, operating procedures, and test equipment designs.
Designs product and acceptance equipment; develops measurement methods, acquires, and designates tooling, cables, laboratory and other equipment to support product acceptance.
Develops test procedures and performs routine to moderately complex engineering evaluation tests, product and process capability studies, quality audits, product or project data reviews, and other engineering evaluation work to assure product manufacturability.
Conducts audits, analyzes processes, products, and inspection records to anticipate, identify, and correct problems and to establish quality levels and trends.
Partners with internal and external stakeholders to assist in resolving moderately complex, development, production, and acceptance issues.
Prepares evaluation reports, analyzes discrepancies, makes recommendations for and initiates improvements for product.
You Must Have
Bachelor of Science degree from an ABET accredited university in Engineering or Physics
2+ years of relevant experience in engineering, analytical, or related technical activities.
Ability to work hybrid, or on-site as directed by management and is determined by the needs of the business
United States Citizenship, with the ability to obtain and maintain, if required for position, a U.S. Department of Energy (DOE) security clearance (some positions require additional DOE designations).
Ability to travel up to 15% of the time.

Demonstrated analytical skills, mathematical computations, computer software applications, and written documentation.
Demonstrated established technical methodologies to routine engineering projects.
Ability to analyze engineering drawings and specifications to develop effective acceptance processes and improve existing processes.
Familiarization with GD&T Concepts.
Experience in a programming language (such as C# / Python, R, and SQL).
Experience with National Instruments’ TestStand and Labview.
RF design / test experience and/or Software defined radio (SDR) experience.
Microcontroller programming experience
ECAD familiarity with Altium /OrCAD.
Ability to be innovative and creative, providing novel solutions to address customer needs.
Results oriented with a demonstrated record of problem solving; effective at using data to make informed decisions.
Experience in the preparation and communication of information to all levels of stakeholders.
Ability to manage multiple assignments and responsibilities concurrently.
Experience using MS Office Suite desktop applications, such as MS Word, Excel, PowerPoint.
Ability to conduct activities in a safe and healthy manner and work in accordance with established HS&E requirements to ensure the protection of employees, the public, and the environment. To take actions necessary to "stop" work when an unsafe condition or action is identified.
