Duties and Responsibilities▪ Machine Operator▪ Setup and operate manual and CNC mills and lathes to produce development and/or production parts.▪ Perform inspection of parts produced using calibrated inspection equipment.▪ Fixture design and manufacturing.▪ Complete set-up sheets and all shop related documentation.▪ Assist / train less experienced machinists.▪ Responsible for the safe operation of all equipment.▪ Deburr parts to defined quality specifications.▪ Performs cleaning operation of parts▪ Other duties as assigned.▪ General▪ It is the Machinist’s responsibility to keep the work area clean. This includes but is not limited to: putting tooling away, keeping the benches clean, emptying chip bins, wiping oil/grease off machines, putting away company inspection tools, and any other cleaning duties as required.▪ Adherence to health and safety regulations, including use of protective gear.▪ Identifies and executes cost reduction opportunities.2. Required Qualifications - Experience, Education, Knowledge & Skills▪ High school diploma or equivalent.▪ High mechanical aptitude and machining background with a focus on precision and high quality.▪ Strong math skills.▪ Ability to perform edits of CNC machining programs.▪ Proven ability to read blueprints and engineering drawings.▪ Proficient use of measuring and gaging instruments.▪ Ability to lead with experience, teaching and collaborating with other machinists.▪ Positive and open attitude▪ Possess good organizational skills with the ability to prioritize duties and perform them with minimal supervision.▪ Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out simple instructions.3. Preferred Qualifications:▪ Ability to write CNC programs in Gibbs Cam or Master Cam.▪ Familiar with working in an ISO 9001 or AS9100 certified Shop.▪ Experience using an ERP system such as ProShop, Job Shop, NetSuite.▪ Hands on knowledge of the concepts and principles of Lean Manufacturing.▪ Knowledge of small to medium scale manufacturing processes and problems.4.
