Logan Health Lead Nutrition Services Tech in Kalispell, Montana

Job Description Summary:

This position performs as a Lead and provides nutrition care according to Logan Health professional standards for assigned area(s).

Minimum of two (2) years’ experience in food service setting required.

Previous experience understanding and following recipes required.ServeSafe Certification or Food Handler Certification preferred. Successfully obtain within 90 daysUnderstanding of HACCP guidelines, state and regulatory standards. PreferredExcellent organizational skills, detail-oriented, a self-starter, possess critical thinking skills and be able to set priorities and function as part of a team as well as independently.Commitment to working in a team environment and maintaining confidentiality as needed.Excellent verbal and written communication skills including the ability to communicate effectively with various audiences.Excellent interpersonal skills with the ability to manage sensitive and confidential situations with tact, professionalism, and diplomacy.Possess and maintain computer skills to include working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and ability to learn other software as needed. Previous experience with Workday, API and Healthstream preferred.

Acts as a Lead for assigned area(s) and ensures policies and procedures are followed and customer’s expectations are exceeded.Ensures inventory levels are maintained. Works directly with vendors to procure needed items and advises assigned leadership of and/or challenges with inventory levels.Participates in managing menus, cost, signage and maintaining the POS system to reflect consistent pricing.Follows proper sanitization techniques and inspects assigned area(s), for cleanliness and sanitation of production, service areas and equipment.Completes cleaning assignments and holds assigned staff accountable per department procedure. Observes quality of food preparation and service. Exhibits excellent presentation skills.Records food and equipment temperatures per department protocolPerforms food preparation, sandwich and salad assembly per department procedures.Exhibits consistent hot and cold beverage competence.Performs excellent cash handling skills.

Lead may be expected to perform one (1) or more of the following tasks regularly:Creates work schedule and assigns employees to specific work tasks.Trains or coordinates the training of assigned staff.Oversees and coordinates successful completion of employees’ competency assessments and required training.Acts as point-of-contact/subject matter expert for employee questions about expectations and processes.Assists in interviewing job candidates.Leads or coordinates compliance and quality efforts.Other duties as assigned at the discretion of management, excluding issuing corrective actions or administering performance evaluations.

Logan Health operates 24 hours per day, seven days per week. Schedules are set to accommodate the requirements of the position and the needs of the organization and may be adjusted as needed.
