AON Customer Service Specialist II in Kalispell, Montana
Aon is looking for a Customer Service Specialist II.
As a Customer Service Specialist in our Kalispell, MT office, you will contribute to the success of our Private Flood Insurance Program business. Not only will you become a valued team member, but you will also grow your skills with a revered company in the risk management industry.
This hybrid position requires you to go into the office 50 percent of the time.

What the day will look like:
Under moderate supervision, the Customer Service Specialist will be responsible for taking inbound calls along with underwriting and processing private flood insurance documents in accordance with our carrier agreements, surplus lines rules, and state regulations. Contact may be necessary with agents, other departments, or carrier partners via telephone, email, or fax in order to obtain the necessary information needed to process the transaction.
Job Responsibilities:
Establish yourself as a private flood insurance expert as you underwrite and process documents in line with carrier agreements, surplus lines rules, and state regulations.
Collaborate with agents, various departments, and carrier partners via multiple communication methods to effectively process transactions.
Flex your investigative skills as you determine the credibility of legal, closing, and replacement cost documents as well as National Flood Insurance Program maps and elevation data.
Hone your communication abilities as you communicate complex technical information to agents, build rapport with customers, and address questions regarding private products.
Handle policies using knowledge of underwriting components, including elevation certifications, zone determinations, refunds, agent commissions, community numbers and discounts, emergency programs, severe repetitive loss, preferred risk properties, grandfathering, pre-firm, post-firm, rollovers, map revisions, policy date rules, and disaster assistance.
Process flood insurance policies using web-based applications.
Skills and experience that will lead to success
1+ year of office and/or administrative background
Typing of 40 WPM
- Customer Service experience, including telephone communication, will be extremely beneficial
Must be able to work 8:00a-5:00p MDT or 9:00a-6:00p MDT
Strong organizational and interpersonal skills with attention to detail
Proficiency in keying alphanumeric information with accuracy and adequate speed and the use of basic office equipment, such as copiers, faxes, voicemail
Ability to shift between priorities, as needed, throughout the workday while maintaining an established level of productivity using time-management techniques
Prior experience in the insurance industry will be helpful
Education:
High School Diploma or GED

The salary range for this position (intended for U.S. applicants) is $32,800 to $40,000 annually. The actual salary will vary based on applicant’s education, experience, skills, and abilities, as well as internal equity and alignment with market data. The salary may also be adjusted based on applicant’s geographic location.
