Join our dynamic team as a Sustaining Product Engineer Technician, where you'll play a critical role in driving the ongoing success of our innovative product portfolio! In this position, you will support our technical product development by focusing on sustaining engineering activities for existing products. You'll work closely with cross-functional teams to identify opportunities for improvement, enhance product performance, and ensure long-term reliability and quality.

What you will be doing:

  • Understand customer needs and help determine if they are met by current products or if modifications would be required (either simple modifications or more complex ones)

  • Troubleshoot issues related to product functionality, performance, quality, etc.

  • Use problem solving skills to identify and solve issues

  • Work cross-functionally with other departments to improve manufacturing processes

  • Conduct experiments and tests in a laboratory setting

  • Prepare technical forms, reports, and other correspondence

  • Evaluate efficacy of chemical raw materials

  • Record data in lab notebooks based on observations and test results

  • Perform complex chemical analysis using quality assurance techniques

  • Interpret test results in order to propose possible solutions

  • Maintain a clean and safe work environment by following safety procedures, wearing appropriate safety gear, and disposing of hazardous materials

  • Communication of results to both scientists and non-scientists

  • Establish and maintain effective working relationships with associates across multiple departments

  • Contribute to continuous improvement efforts within the organization

Skills you will need:

  • Bachelor's degree

  • 3+ years of experience in manufacturing required.

  • Manufacturing standard costing experience preferred.

  • Experience identifying sources of waste and manufacturing processes to drive down cost.

  • Experience with validation for equipment and processes.

  • Collaborative problem solver capable of working with cross functional teams.

  • Strong knowledge of machine design practices.

  • Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and schematics.
