Company Overview: Pirtek Kalamazoo is a Veteran Owned company that is dedicated to delivering top level customer service to our clients in need of hydraulic and industrial hose maintenance and replacement. As a Sales Manager, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth operation of our clients' machinery and systems by providing on-site solutions and exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities: As an Operations and Administration Manager, your primary responsibilities will include:

  1. Ops and Admin: Managing in-shop operations and all required administrative tasks.
  2. Quality Review: Review and quality check the MSST inventory to ensure 100% accountability of tools, products, and supplies.
  3. Leadership: Provide oversight and direction when the General Manager is unavailable
  4. Critical thinking: Ability to utilize critical thinking skills to solve problems, analyze trends, and forecast demand.
  5. Custom Hose Assemblies: Utilizing your technical expertise to create custom hose assemblies tailored to our clients' specific requirements.
  6. Preventative Maintenance: Conducting scheduled maintenance visits to identify and address potential hose issues before they cause operational disruptions.
  7. Customer Engagement: Building and maintaining strong relationships with our clients, offering technical advice, and ensuring customer satisfaction.
  8. Inventory Management: Managing inventory and replenishing operational stock with necessary equipment, hoses, and fittings.
  9. Developing customer accounts and sales leads.
  10. Teamwork: Support/fill in during periods of MSST absence.

Qualifications: To excel as an Operations and Administration Manager at Pirtek, you should possess the following qualifications:

  • The ability to work with a team and independently

    • Must be a self-starter
    • Goal oriented and driven
    • Ability to support teammates around the clock
  • An understanding of fluid dynamics with a strong mechanical aptitude

    •  A background in hydraulics or industrial hoses is preferred
  • Attention to detail and the drive to produce a quality product for the customer

  • Exceptional problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently

  • Excellent customer service and communication skills

  • Willingness to work in a fast-paced, on-call environment

  • A valid driver's license and a clean driving record

  • Physical fitness and the ability to lift heavy equipment and hoses

  • The ability to be on-call 24/7

  • Military and First Responder preference given.
