Robert Half Finance Manager in Kalamazoo, Michigan

Description We are seeking a Finance Manager based in Kalamazoo, Michigan. The role primarily involves managing the accounting workflow, providing accounting direction, and analytical support to division management. This job is within the finance industry and requires a high degree of organization and attention to detail.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage accounting and payroll personnel and provide guidance across different accounting functional areas.

• Ensure financial internal control processes across all business unit functional areas are compliant with company policies and procedures.

• Meet all internal and external reporting deadlines.

• Oversee the reconciliation of all balance sheet accounts and review financial statements and supporting documentation to ensure compliance with Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) and company policies.

• Provide analytical support to sales and marketing for customer pricing and profitability analysis, commercial and municipal bids, and market development projects.

• Support the General Manager with financial analytics to facilitate profitable business decisions.

• Offer accounting direction and analytical support to all departments within the division.

• Manage credit and collection function to maximize division cash-flow and ensure division compliance with company credit and stop service policies.

• Oversee the accounting aspects of capital expenditures, transfers, and retirements.

• Provide critical support to financial audits including internal audits, external audits, and peer reviews.

• Respond to information requests from Corporate (accounting, tax, treasury, IT, HR, sales, environmental compliance, legal, etc.) as well as region and area field financial management as required. Requirements • Minimum of 5 years of experience in a Finance Manager role or similar

• Proficiency in Accounting Software Systems

• Experience with ADP - Financial Services

• Familiarity with BlackLine software

• Proficient in using Concur for expense management

• Knowledge in ERP - Enterprise Resource Planning

• Ability to manage Accounting Functions effectively

• Experience in handling Accounts Payable (AP) and Accounts Receivable (AR)

• Auditing skills with an eye for detail

• Experience in managing Billing Functions effectively
