Description:

This Crane Technician will be responsible for servicing, maintaining, and repairing overhead industrial cranes and machinery throughout various manufacturing facilities in Southwest Michigan for one of the regions leading crane installation and repair companies. This will include on-site repair as well as service travel within a 45 minute - 1 hour radius of Kalamazoo as needed. Must have at least 1-2 years of industrial crane experience to be considered.

Duties include:

• Complete mechanical repairs and adjustments as needed

• Perform preventative maintenance and inspections on all machinery / overhead cranes as assigned

• Successfully troubleshoot electrical and mechanical problems

• Complete welding and fabrication tasks with little direction

• Machine print reading (electrical & mechanical)

• Able to complete equipment upgrades

• Able to complete service orders accurately

Pay/Schedule:

• Primarily 1st shift schedule; 6:30 AM - 3:00 PM; hours may vary depending on customer needs

• Must be open to afternoon/night calls in cases of outages or emergency repairs

• Up to $38 an hour starting pay depending on experience

Additional Skills & Qualifications:

Must have:

• Minimum 2,000 hours of crane experience

• High school diploma or equivalent

• Ability to read machine schematics and manuals

• 2+ years of industrial electrical troubleshooting up to 480V

• 2+ years of industrial electrical and controls experience

• 2+ years of industrial maintenance experience

• A valid driving license and clean driving record
