Lockheed Martin Electrical Inspector in Jupiter, Florida
Description: Independently conduct and perform visual inspection and testing operations on electrical and electronic aircraft components and assemblies, inspect harness installations and verify Acceptance Test Procedures when required to check out aircraft systems.
Typical Responsibilities
Conduct Final Assembly electrical shake inspections, inspecting for any electrical/avionics discrepancies prior to hangar acceptance.
Follow general instructions, standard inspection procedures, engineering drawings, Sikorsky standards/specifications, military standards/specifications, check lists, and other written or oral instructions to perform inspection and testing operation on electrical or electronic aircraft components and assemblies.
Inspect components and assemblies for physical conditions, surface finish, identification, completion of all operations, acceptable workmanship and completion of all documentation, either electronic or paper
Specific inspections include, but are not limited to, nicked/broken wiring strands, marking legibility, wiring strain relief, electrical mechanical connection integrity, solder connections to Sikorsky and Military standards, printed wiring boards conformal coat wiring routing, contact and terminal crimping, splicing, connector grommet seal integrity, typing and re-inspection rework.
Perform process capability audits for avionic assembly operations, including verification of tool calibrations, currency of MFG/ENG/PC/ME documentation, and review of process flow requirements into SA Work Order operations.
Work out of department as required.
Maintain documentation of operations performed.
Refer only unusual situations or problems to working leader, supervisor or engineering as required.
Perform operator checklist as required and comply with all EH&S procedures.
Perform other related inspection duties as required.
As required segregate waste material and follow good housekeeping practices.
Basic Qualifications:
Requires ability to read drawings and complicated schematic diagrams of electronic systems, equipment and instruments. Also requires use of shop mathematics and a general knowledge of electrical principles with a specialized knowledge of radio and electronics, control circuits, wiring and soldering methods and electrical calibrations and testing instruments.
Equivalent to 2 years high school plus 2 to 3 years trades training or 4 years technical trades training in electronics.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: Standard Monday to Friday 40 hour work week
