Position Specific Description
We are seeking a team member with a passion for people and has the drive to manage a team to success. Along with the daily oversight of all payroll activities, the position will manage various special projects which requires both top-notch project management skills, data analysis with strong analytical skills, and financial forecasting experience. The position will also partner closely with IT and be integral to the SAP payroll system planning process. As such, the ideal candidate will have exceptional attention to detail, a proven track record to multitask, and the ability to communicate effectively at all levels. Additionally, the position is a key member of the HR Storm Support team.
Job Overview
Leaders in this role manage and provide daily oversight to all payroll activities. Individuals ensure an accurate and timely payroll is processed for all employees in accordance with International, Federal, State, and Local regulations and company policies.
Job Duties & Responsibilities
Manages and ensures the efficient operation of payroll activities
Develops, implements, and recommends policies and procedures designed to improve business processes within the department
Coordinates with the internal tax departments and outside tax consultants to ensure compliance with all International, Federal, and state regulatory reporting requirements
Oversees all year-end W2 processes to ensure accurate W2s are issued prior to required deadlines
Ensures correct system tax set-up to ensure all employees have the correct federal, state, and local taxable wages
Resolves employee concerns regarding wage payments and associated taxation or other deduction issues
Negotiates contracts/agreements with payroll tax vendors and outside consultants
Oversees International and expatriates payroll
Ensures timely communication of changes to payroll policies, procedures, and regulations
Performs other job-related duties as assigned
Required Qualifications
High School Grad / GED
Bachelor’s or Equivalent Experience
Experience: 8+ years
Supervisor/Management Experience: 2+ years
