Stock Clerk

PeopleReady of  Juneau, AK is now hiring Stock Clerks! As a Stock Clerk, you will play a key role in ensuring our store remains well-stocked and organized for our customers. You will be responsible for accurately receiving, sorting, stocking, and maintaining merchandise in our store. Your attention to detail and organizational skills will contribute to a positive shopping experience for our customers.

Pay Rate:

The pay rate for this job is $22.80 / hour.

What you'll be doing as a Stock Clerk:

• Receive and unload deliveries of merchandise.

• Verify incoming shipments against invoices or orders to ensure accuracy.

• Sort and place merchandise on racks, shelves, or bins according to organizational standards.

• Arrange and display merchandise attractively to promote sales.

• Ensure that all products are labeled with accurate prices.

• Monitor inventory levels and communicate replenishment needs to management.

• Assist customers in locating products and provide information on pricing.

• Keep storage areas and backrooms organized and clean.

• Follow all safety and security procedures when handling merchandise and operating equipment.

Available shifts:

Shift Timings - All Available and No Overnights

Job requirements:

• Proven experience as a Stock Clerk or similar position in a retail environment is preferred.

• Basic understanding of inventory procedures and practices.

• Ability to lift and move heavy items as needed.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.

• Strong communication and customer service skills.

• Ability to work effectively as part of a team.

• High school diploma or equivalent; additional education or certification in retail or a related field is a plus.

• Ability to lift and carry objects weighing up to 50 pounds.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, and reach for extended periods.

• Work shifts may include evenings, weekends, and holidays based on business needs.

• Exposure to varying temperatures in stockroom and storage areas.

• Background check required
