Job Summary

As a Network Administrator you will be responsible for managing and maintaining network systems and be adept at responding to network-related tickets and escalations.

Job Description

We are looking for a skilled Network Administrator to manage and maintain network systems and be adept at responding to network-related tickets and escalations. This is a full-time, remote, and long-term opportunity.

Due to the nature of the client’s needs, candidates must be able to support Pacific or Mountain time.

What You’ll Do

  • Monitor and maintain network infrastructure, ensuring optimal performance and security

  • Respond promptly to network-related tickets and escalations, providing effective solutions

  • Configure and manage small-business class firewalls, switches, and wireless access points

  • Perform network troubleshooting to diagnose and resolve network issues

  • Implement network changes and upgrades, ensuring minimal disruption to services

  • Collaborate with other IT professionals and departments to optimize network performance.

  • Document network configurations, changes, and procedures

What You’ll Need

Required:

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience working with small-business class firewalls, switches, and wireless access points

  • Strong experience with Ubiquiti products

  • Proficiency in network configuration, management, and troubleshooting

  • Solid understanding of network security principles and practices

  • Excellent problem-solving skills and the ability to work under pressure

  • Strong communication skills, both written and verbal

  • Ability to work independently in a remote setting, while maintaining collaborative team relationships

Desired:

  • Relevant certifications such as CCNA, Network+, or equivalent

  • Experience with network monitoring tools and software

  • Familiarity with cloud networking solutions

Physical Demands:

  • Ability to safely and successfully perform the essential job functions consistent with the ADA and other federal, state and local standards

  • Sedentary work that involves sitting or remaining stationary most of the time with occasional need to move around the office to attend meetings, etc.

  • Ability to conduct repetitive tasks on a computer, utilizing a mouse, keyboard, and monitor
