Associate Manufacturing - AML 14
What you will do
Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role you will support the Formulation and Filling operations according to Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs). Will perform and supervise critical processes, complete routine protocols, and regularly draft and revise documents such as Manufacturing Procedures and SOPs. Perform basic troubleshooting and assist in the review of documentation for assigned functions. May participate on cross-functional teams. Employees may also have the responsibility of owning Deviations/CAPA’s. May identify, recommend, and implement improvements related to routine functions in a Non-Standard Shift environment.
Specific responsibilities include but are not limited to:
Hands-on operations, set-up, clean, sanitize and prepare room and equipment for the Component Preparation, Formulation, and/or Filling Processes.
Perform and monitor critical processes, implement routine validation protocols, and regularly draft and revise documents such as Manufacturing Procedures and SOPs.
Assist in the review of documentation for assigned functions (e.g., equipment logs, routine area audits, batch records).
Perform equipment cleaning, assembly, and sterilization.
Receive, store, deliver, transfer, reconcile, cycle count, or ship materials per cGMP procedures and regulations.
Operate multiple inventory software applications and resolve basic system issues within Amgen’s SAP and MES system.
Operate warehouse equipment, e.g. pallet jack, etc.
May initiate quality deviations.
May identify, recommend, and implement improvements related to routine functions.
Conduct basic troubleshooting.
Recognize & accurately report problems.
May train staff to perform hands-on tasks.
May act as safety representative.
What we expect of you

Basic Qualifications:
High school/GED and 2 years of manufacturing work experience
OR
Associate’s Degree and 6 months of manufacturing work experience
OR
Bachelor’s Degree
Preferred Qualifications:
Educational background in Life Sciences, Biotechnology or Engineering
Availability to Support Non-Standard Shifts including rotative weekdays and weekends.
Experience working in a GMP biotechnology, pharmaceutical or medical device company.
Proficient experience performing assembling disassembling, operating, and understanding equipment per procedures.
Knowledge of basic computer systems including Microsoft Office, SAP, MES, LIMS.
Organizational skills and talent to perform assignments with a high degree of attention to detail.
Capacity to follow written procedures, recognize and report malfunctions and adjust equipment.
Knowledge of working with Aseptic Techniques.
Problem Solving, Teamwork and Communication Skills.
Technical writing capability.
