Overview
We are seeking a skilled and motivated Building Maintenance Facilitator (Supervisor) to oversee the upkeep and maintenance of our facilities. The ideal candidate will ensure the smooth operation of our buildings, grounds, and equipment by coordinating tasks, supervising staff, and implementing work schedules. The Building Maintenance Facilitator will report to the Maintenance Manager and play a key role in ensuring safety, efficiency, and compliance with regulatory standards.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and coordinate building maintenance staff and custodians, including hiring, training, and evaluating performance
- Schedule and assign tasks to building maintenance technicians and custodians, ensuring timely completion
- Conduct regular inspections of buildings, grounds, and equipment to identify and resolve issues
- Diagnose mechanical, electrical, plumbing, and structural problems and implement solutions
- Develop and implement maintenance procedures and protocols
- Help manage maintenance budgets, expenditures, and procurement of supplies
- Maintain records of building maintenance and custodial activities and monitor inventory levels
- Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations and company policies
- Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergencies
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for specialized repairs and projects as needed
- Provide technical expertise and guidance to building maintenance and custodial team members
- Provide training, guidance, and support to team members to enhance their skills and performance
