Department of the Navy/Assistant for Administration IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/NETWORK) in Joint Base Anacostia-Bolling, District Of Columbia

Summary You will serve as a IT SPECIALIST (CUSTSPT/NETWORK) of NCIS. All Naval Criminal Investigative Service (NCIS) positions are in the excepted service. This position is in the excepted service and does not confer competitive status. Responsibilities You will be responsible for the customer support, installation, configuration, maintenance and management of NCIS computer systems, Local Area Network(s), and Wide Area Network(s) within a designated area set across multiple states . You will perform computer hardware and software maintenance, troubleshooting and resolution, wide and local area network (WAN/LAN) management, Windows, Microsoft Office and Microsoft Server administration, systems analysis and configuration. You will perform technical evaluations of computer system hardware and software resources to determine critical areas for improvement to increase its performance and decrease outages. You will serve as the technical expert and works independently in integrating, developing, and implementing computer systems. You will serve as the central point for the Organizations inventory management within the area of responsibility. Requirements Conditions of Employment Qualifications Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-12 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: Experience with lifecycle management, inventory management, system resource management, change management, IT troubleshooting, and COMSEC compliance policies; Experience working with the, implementation, fielding, and sustainment of IT resources; Experience installing, configuring, maintaining, managing and administering IT Systems and networks; Coordinating IT Support across different teams; Experience providing technical support, advice, resolution of complex problems associated with the implementation, maintenance and troubleshooting of infrastructure; and Experience in software, and security controls at the appropriate levels of security.
