Cambria Springs Service Inc Mechanic in Johnstown, Pennsylvania
Job Overview: We are seeking a skilled candidate that is able perform either/or but not limited to any of the following to join our team: Mechanic/Welder/Machinist
As an employee, you will be responsible for inspecting, diagnosing, and repairing engines and vehicles. This is a hands-on position that requires strong technical knowledge and the ability to work independently.
Candidates with some welding and machinist experience are an asset to our growing business.
Responsibilities: - Inspect gas and diesel engines, vehicles, and equipment to identify issues and determine necessary repairs - Diagnose mechanical and electrical problems using diagnostic tools and equipment - Perform routine maintenance tasks such as oil changes, filter replacements, and tire rotations - Repair or replace faulty components, such as brakes, suspension systems, and exhaust systems - Test drive vehicles to ensure proper functioning after repairs - Keep accurate records of all repairs and maintenance performed - Adhere to safety protocols and maintain a clean and organized work area
-Machinist: running driveline equipment, milling machines, and lathe
-Welding and fabricating on various projects related to both construction and vehicle repair
Qualifications: - High school diploma or equivalent - Proven experience as a Mechanic or similar role
-Welding, fabricating and/or Machinist experience - Strong knowledge of gas and diesel engines, electrical systems, air brakes, and HVAC systems - Proficient in using hand tools and diagnostic equipment - Ability to weld, suspend, assemble, and fabricate components as needed - Valid driver's license with a clean driving record - Forklift certification is a plus
-Ability to lift to 50 pounds and perform repetitive tasks
