Overview:
As a CFD Engineer/Technician at H.F. Lenz, you will play a crucial role in the development of internal and external computational fluid dynamics simulations to understand the heat flow characteristics of critical cooling and heat rejection equipment. You will be responsible for developing the facility's load profiles, CFD models, analyzing air flow and heat transfer characteristics to assess HVAC system performance as per client defined requirements.
Responsibilities:
Utilize CFD software such as 6 Sigma, MS Excel, and Revit to conduct CFD simulations for various mission critical building projects.
Collaborate with cross-functional teams to analyze and interpret simulation results for design improvements.
Develop and implement numerical models to simulate fluid dynamics in different applications.
Generate detailed reports, load calculations and quality analysis to present findings and recommendations effectively.
Contribute to the continuous improvement of CFD methodologies and best practices within the organization.
Experience:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering or related field is preferred. Associates' degree in CADD Drafting & Design or Engineering Technology.
Proficiency in using CFD software tools such as AutoCAD, Revit and 6 Sigma.
Experience with HVAC systems and mechanical design is preferred.
Strong understanding of fluid dynamics, heat transfer, and thermodynamics principles.
