Job Description

We are seeking a Project Scheduler Sr who will be responsible for coordinating team activities and supporting Project Managers (PMs). This role involves independently leading efforts to develop and analyze intermediate and complex scope of work schedules using the assigned system. The candidate will plan, schedule, integrate, baseline, update, maintain, and analyze scope of work schedules with minimal supervision. Additionally, the candidate will maintain security, reporting, and daily operations of systems and software, including Key Performance Indicators (KPIs) for assigned projects. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, a good communicator, and team-focused.

Responsibilities

  • Define activities, duration, work sequences, and relationship logic to develop the plan and milestones for key decisions and deliverables during execution.

  • Develop fully integrated system schedules, including resource loading and leveling for complex and intermediate scope of work execution teams.

  • Organize and lead schedule review meetings with all stakeholders and ensure clear minutes and action items.

  • Engage team and stakeholders to create schedules, provide schedule analysis updates, and alert them to schedule risks and issues.

  • Lead the administration of project management organizational standards and assist in managing projects to those standards.

  • Work with the Administrator to assign security profiles and roles for new users.

  • Use sound techniques and best practices to update progress, acquire information, baseline schedules, and develop commodity curves.

  • Provide periodic summary level status reports and prepare and analyze metrics reports or KPIs.

  • Mentor and train junior level schedulers.

  • Perform/coordinate schedule and cost integration, including SPI/CPI, and maintain associated data systems and processes.

  • Recommend and develop What-If schedules to address problems and incorporate necessary changes to minimize schedule impact.

Essential Skills

  • Primavera P6 experience (4-6 years)

  • Project management

  • Project scheduling

  • Scheduling experience in Transmission, Substation, Construction, or Engineering

  • Strong knowledge of Microsoft Office tools and ability to develop complex spreadsheets

  • Strong written and verbal communication skills

  • Qualified Bachelor's degree with four years of relevant experience or qualified Associate's degree with six years of relevant experience

  • Qualified degrees in related fields such as Accounting, Business, Construction Management, Engineering Technology, or Project Management

  • Experience in utility-specific operations, design, planning, project management, cost tracking, analysis, forecasting, project budgets, and working with accounting principles

Work Environment

This is a hybrid role requiring three days in the office. The work environment includes working with advanced scheduling systems and software, engaging with various stakeholders, and adhering to organizational standards and policies.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $30.00 - $42.00
