Alaant Workforce Solutions is is actively recruiting for a Quality Manager in Johnstown, NY to join a leading manufacturing organization . This full-time, direct-hire position plays a critical role in ensuring products meet or exceed quality standards, regulatory requirements, and customer expectations. The Quality Manager will drive continuous improvement, lead quality teams, and collaborate with cross-functional departments to enhance product reliability and performance.

Responsibilities for the QA Manager – Manufacturing
Supervisory Responsibilities:
Hire, train, and manage Quality Inspection staff
Oversee daily workflow and scheduling for the quality department
Quality Assurance & Process Improvement:
Develop, implement, and maintain quality assurance protocols and procedures
Conduct regular inspections and tests to ensure compliance with industry standards
Identify and document quality issues , working proactively to resolve them
Analyze production processes to identify areas for improvement
Compliance, Standards, and Reporting:
Maintain accurate records of quality inspections, test results, and corrective actions
Prepare and present quality reports and metrics to management
Ensure compliance with ISO 9001 quality standards and other industry regulations
Requirements for the QA Manager - Manufacturing
Bachelor’s degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field) or a related discipline
5+ years of experience in quality engineering or a similar role within a machine shop or contract manufacturing environment
Strong knowledge of ISO 9001 quality standards and experience in an ISO-regulated environment
Proficiency in quality management systems, methodologies, and tools (e.g., Lean, Six Sigma)
Experience with quality measurement tools and software
Blueprint reading and GD&T (Geometric Dimensioning & Tolerancing) knowledge
Strong familiarity with various metals and material characteristics
