Description
The Senior Data Management Specialist is responsible for ensuring the integrity, quality, and accessibility of an organization’s data assets. This role involves leading data management initiatives, developing data governance strategies, and ensuring data systems and processes support business needs. This role involves managing data resources, developing data management strategies, and supporting data-related projects. The Data Management Specialist will work closely with various departments to ensure data is properly maintained, analyzed, and utilized to support business objectives.
The Senior Data Management Specialist - Master Data Management will own the lifecycle of master data implementations, and act as a liaison between lines of business, channels, technology services teams and Enterprise Data and Analytics platform teams to ensure the master data solutions are implemented in a consistent, scalable manner with robust change control.
In this role, you will liaise with channels, origination systems, and other information provisioning systems across Citizens Financial Group to integrate Master Data Management system to ensure MDM system contains the most accurate master data and serves as the single version of truth.
This role will also develop and operationalize master data quality processes, suspect resolution process and data operations error resolution process to ensure the best quality of master data is stored and distributed out of MDM.
Primary responsibilities include
Collaborating with business leaders and technology teams to implement centralized Master data and hierarchies, related polices, standards and practices
Analyze and reconcile data with source systems to identify data quality issues and drive processes and solutions to resolve and prevent data quality issues.
Developing and communicating key Master data scorecards, dashboards and technologies based on key metrics and indicators to monitor progress and measure adoption
Own the full life cycle of Master data implementation - requirements gathering, design, system integration and user acceptance test planning, building of test libraries and test execution. Produce consistent, accurate and complete data requirements and definitions for complex projects.
Using stakeholder knowledge and other available resources to research, to facilitate discovery, and to analyze and evaluate options for Master data solutions, including third party data procurement, synthesis and distribution. Provide recommendations to team and project leads. Use internal and external data to create models to support business growth for internal business partners.
Work with business users and others to understand their business functions and processes in order to help them define hierarchy needs to support business intelligence, analytic and reporting requirements.
Ensure all Master data elements are fully defined and catalogued in the Collibra data governance environment for lookup and consumption.
Work with management team and other leads to prioritize needs for business segments.
Qualifications, Education, Certifications and/or Other Professional Credentials
Required Qualifications
Bachelor’s degree in Information Management or related field required

5 or more years of experience in an enterprise data master governance and/or data management role or capacity
3 or more years of experience as a senior business analyst with full end to end responsibility for complex enterprise level data management implementations
2 or more years of business and data analysis experience in enterprise level Master Data Management solution like IBM Infosphere, SAP, Informatica or TIBCO
Deep understanding of Metadata management, Governance framework, Data quality management and Master data management best practices and procedures
Experience doing data discovery and analysis work with one or more commonly-used business intelligence tools, such as Tableau, SAS, Qlik, Oracle, Cognos, Microsoft, Information Builders, etc.
Working knowledge of data governance and data management practices, including a demonstrated understanding of implementing data governance solutions
Experience with procuring, curating and applying third party data to solve business problems
Excellent customer facing and communication skills
Influencing skills and ability to build relationships across all levels
Ability to collaborate effectively, take initiative and work as part of an Agile team
Strong attention to detail
Preferred Qualifications
Realtime streaming integration with MDM strongly preferred
Enterprise scale Cloud native MDM experience preferred
Certification in Master Data Management preferred
Banking experience preferred

Hours per Week: 40
Work Schedule: M-F
