**[General Statement of Duties: [Performs difficult skilled work supervising public service workers and other personnel engaged in general maintenance repair work. Employee has intermediate supervisory responsibilities; organizes, schedules, and assigns work activity. Perform training to ensure individuals have all the requisite skills. Does related work as required.

**[Distinguishing Features of the Class: [This position is responsible for supervisory work that involves planning, prioritizing, assigning, supervising, reviewing, and participating in the work of [semiskilled or unskilled workers and operators responsible for providing construction, maintenance, repair services and activities for assigned areas, parks, athletic fields and facilities. [Areas of work and standards to be met are assigned in detail by the Park Services Manager, and the work performed is checked in process and upon completion.

observe and promote all City policies and procedures;

supervise and assist with the work of park service technicians, public service workers and temporary employees in park maintenance, irrigation installation/maintenance, building repairs and maintenance, and other tasks involving the maintenance and repair of public facilities;

trains employees on standards for facility cleanliness, minor maintenance repairs required for maintaining optimal condition of the building, and other relevant training (Train-the-Trainer, emergency disaster plans, etc.);

schedule and assist with setups/takedowns of any Center or City function with tables, chairs, audio visual equipment, stage, etc.

required to utilize a cellular device provided by the City of Johnson City to be accessible during non-scheduled times or beyond normal work hours; for example, this position has direct reports who works nights and/or weekends;

prepares work assignments of park service technicians, public service workers and temporary employees;

inspect and verify work in progress and completed work of assigned employees for accuracy, proper work methods and techniques, and compliance with applicable standards and specifications.
