Adecco US, Inc. Distribution Department Lead in Johnson City, Tennessee
Job Description:
The Distribution Department Lead will assist the Distribution Manager in coordinating activities within the distribution department, while continuing to perform standard distribution associate duties. This position requires strong leadership skills, with responsibility for overseeing the distribution process, ensuring that operational goals are met in a timely, cost-effective manner, and maintaining compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.
Primary Responsibilities:
Work Environment & Safety:
Maintain a clean and safe work environment, reporting and investigating accidents, near misses, and hazardous conditions as required.
Ensure all distribution practices are aligned with Dentsply Sirona’s policies, as well as FDA, ISO, EPA, 6S, GMP, and OSHA regulations.
Comply with all safety, regulatory, and human resources programs within manufacturing.
Team Leadership & Performance:
Provide daily assignments, leadership, coaching, and mentoring to the team, monitoring performance against established efficiency targets.
Train, motivate, and guide department personnel to meet operational requirements effectively.
Assist with troubleshooting distribution equipment and maintaining necessary tools and equipment to ensure production schedules are met.
Operations & Budget Management:
Support the Distribution Manager in maintaining department operations within approved budgetary constraints.
Help review and adjust production schedules, ensuring alignment with customer requirements and operational goals.
Communicate priorities and schedule adjustments to align people, materials, machines, and processes effectively.
Continuous Improvement & Compliance:
Focus on continuous improvement initiatives to enhance departmental performance and achieve goals.
Ensure compliance with Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs) and Operations Sheets, adhering to all relevant state, federal, and international regulations.
Participate in cross-functional teams to improve department effectiveness and foster teamwork.
Training & Employee Development:
Coordinate all training activities, ensuring that team members are current with all position-specific training.
Identify and address training needs and deficiencies in collaboration with HR and the Distribution Manager.
Assist with employee development, coaching, and performance evaluations, supporting the team’s professional growth.
Reporting & Communication:
Accurately report total orders, backorders, pick/pack units, and other required data through daily shift reporting.
Provide feedback to the Distribution Manager on performance and training effectiveness.
Assist with interviewing and candidate selection for potential team members.
Pay Details: $21.00 per hour
