Abbott Officer - QA Operations in Jhagadia, India

Primary Objective:

Responsible for managing quality assurance function at third party packing station oversee quality and food safety programs, implement Abbott quality and compliance requirement at packing station & communicate all quality related issues to primary site. And achieve all incoming packing materials and outgoing finished products meets Quality standard

Major Responsibilities:

Ensure product packing takes place in line with quality requirements and product complies to AN, Statutory and regulatory requirements at secondary packing station

Role needs to establish incoming quality acceptance plan and responsible for batch release of finished product

Interpersonal skills in order to have healthy relationship with colleagues working in different functions at site. Decision making skills regarding the inprocess quality status of finished products, in-process materials & environment and Hygiene/GMP of process equipment, manufacturing area/warehouse/Factory premises & dispatch vehicles ex-TPP plant. Communication skills in order to understand and provide necessary feedback or solutions within the QA team and internal customers. In process thinking in order to go in depth understanding of RCA of Quality & Hygiene/GMP related complex issues and provide the best feasible solutions at shop floor. Decision making skills in order to handle the Inprocess quality problems involved at Site

To collect the packing material as per sampling plan through accurately and timely analysis and release through SAP. Effectively inform the deviations to immediate supervisor and concern stakeholders to enable customer departments take timely corrective actions and actively participate in troubleshooting. Contribute to protecting the reputation of the organization by ensuring right quality product through precise measurement

Coordinate with Label change over and ensure current and approved labels are applied

Implement GMP, GHK, GDP and Pest control plan at DHL effectively and drive continuous improvement

Perform routine Internal audits and identify opportunity for improvement

Develop Quality Matrix and share during monthly or quarterly Quality management review.

Ensure self and team members consistently follow all EHS rules and procedures.

Ensure self and team members immediately report any EHS incident and/or near misses (unsafe acts and conditions) promptly to supervision.

Attend all required safety training and medical surveillance program requirements.

Ensure self and team members wear all required PPE.

Consistently take a leadership role in identifying team members who are and are not following procedures

Complete required BBS observations

Incur zero injuries of self and team members as a result of unsafe action/behavior or failure to follow established procedures or guidelines.

Identify and report to supervision opportunities to reduce energy and water use, waste generation within your work area.

Education:

Post graduate in Chemistry/Bachelor graduate in chemistry/ Dairy chemistry/ Food science with 2-3 years experience in food industry or Graduate in Chemistry/ Food science with 4-5 years experience in food industry or Masters in Relevant Field

Background:

• Knowledge of analytical procedures/ operating methods of equipments. Quality Management System & FSSC 22000 requirements

• Knowledge of QA checks regarding finished product & in-process checks.

• Knowledge of safety aspects of QA Labs. / GMP requirements in a food processing industry.

• Hands on experience of handling GLP, GHP, GDP, cGMP etc

Accountability & Scope

• Finished product quality release for TPM locations

• Develop SOP's for TPM to determine quality expectations.

• Review of quality performance of TPM on basis of set KPI's and monthly reports

• Support TPM for continuous improvement with respect to quality performance

• Support TPM for quality incident investigations, development of CAPA, market complaint investigations.

• Support and timely review of Abbott defined systems for TPM site like Change controls systems, Deviations, Pest management and monthly trends, Internal audits schedule & its action closures, Temperature monitoring trends

• Support packaging design trials for TPM as per Protocol from packaging SME

• Working closely with Plant Manufacturing, R&D and Materials team to prepared/update PPS

• Sound knowledge on FSSAI and Legal metrology Act, Rules and regulation

• SAP knowledge on Quality module

• Responsible for ensuring that QA function compliance are in line with FSSAI, ISO 22000 requirement.

• Responsible for effective and efficient monitoring of site wide compliances, provides timely MIS, to ensure that all internal and external requirement are adhered.

• Perform ongoing gap analysis for corporate policies, site policies, sop's and regulatory requirements applicable to site and develop action plan to close the gap and mitigate risk.

• Responsible for site Records Management Systems ensuring retention and retrival procedures are in place.

• Participate and contribute for internal and external audit schedules and follow upon action plan.

• Clear understanding of Quality Risk Management and priortise activities based on risk assessment of process equipment, utilities, facilities.

• To ensure a level of 'governance' is in place with respect to all vendors associated with site to deliver compliance.

• Ensure GMP & Food Safety compliance as per FSSC 22000 & FSSAI requirement at TPM site.

• Develop and ensure that required quality system related documents are in place and in use for New Product Introductions for timely execution.

The Job Holder is accountable for to ensure sampling and analysis and Release of packing material as per plan and sholud be •responsible for providing the PM to Micro lab for analysis. within Abbott Nutrition Supply chain Jhagadia
