Job Title: General Production Worker

Job Description

We are looking for a dedicated General Production Worker to roll pipe onto a coiling machine, tie it with twine, and transport rolls or bundles to the assigned staging area. You will maintain line speed to keep production flowing smoothly and prevent piles of pipe from forming. Additionally, you will support the block change/changeover process as required and complete accurate, real-time reporting. This role involves working with trimming knives, shrink-wrapping machines, and other tools.

Responsibilities

• Maintain line speed to ensure smooth production flow and prevent piles of pipe from forming.

• Support block change/changeover process as required.

• Complete accurate, real-time reporting.

• Work with trimming knives, shrink-wrapping machines, and other tools.

Essential Skills

• Ability to stand on feet for 8+ hours a day.

• Ability to lift 30+ lbs.

• Production or manufacturing experience.

• Detasseling or previous farming experience.

Additional Skills & Qualifications

• General labor skills.

• Warehouse experience.

• Physical strength and stamina.

Work Environment

Our facility is located in Jesup, Iowa, where we manufacture corrugated, high-density polyethylene (HDPE) drainage pipes for agricultural field drainage, stormwater management, and culverts. The workplace does not have air conditioning, so summers can be hot. You can wear pants or shorts (denim or similar, but not sport shorts) and a t-shirt, and a belt is required. Steel or safety toe shoes are mandatory, and clothing must be free of profanity, rips, or tears. We provide safety glasses, earplugs, and gloves if needed. You can use cell phones on the floor, and our environment is relaxed as long as you show up and complete your work. Our shifts are as follows: 1st shift: 7 AM - 3 PM, 2nd shift: 3 PM - 11 PM, and 3rd shift: 11 PM - 7 AM. Some Saturdays may be required for overtime. Employees must clock in 5 minutes before their shift starts. Our attendance policy includes warnings for the first two misses, with termination on the third miss.

Pay and Benefits

The pay range for this position is $17.50 - $20.50
