How you’ll shape the future of the Maintenance Department:
Selects type and size of pipe as well as related materials and equipment such as supports, hangers and hydraulic cylinders according to specifications.
Assemble and install a variety of metal and non-metal pipes, tubes and fittings including iron and steel
Makes modification to existing piping systems and machinery as needed using diagrams and plant accepted procedures.
Completes and maintains specification sheets, PM checklist and other documentation as needed
Installs and maintains hydraulic and pneumatic components of machines and equipment such as pumps and cylinders using hand tools and power tools as required.
Cuts pipe using saws, pipe cutter, hammer and chisel, cutting torch and pipe cutting machine
Secures pipes to secure with brackets, clamps and hangers using hand tools and power tools
Complete and maintain spec sheets, PM checks and other related documentation as needed
Perform assigned duties in a manner which promotes safety, quality and production assurance
In addition to demonstrating proficient knowledge/skills in pipefitting, proposed hires may be required to demonstrate welding skills via a welding test for TIG and SMAW for both carbon steel and stainless-steel grades.
You’ll Be Someone Who Can Bring:
High school diploma/GED
Minimum five years experience as a Pipefitter
Able to work rotating shifts
Ability to work independently
Ability to work in various work conditions and temperatures (inside/outside)
