As a Senior Lead Architect at JPMorgan Chase within the Engineering and Architecture Team, you are an integral part of a team that works to develop high-quality architecture solutions for various software applications and platforms products. You drive significant business impact and help shape the target state architecture through your capabilities in multiple architecture domains.
Your expertise in analyzing complex systems, fully understanding business requirements, anticipating problems, and finding ways to mitigate risk will be key in successfully designing technology solutions that incorporate strategic target state architecture, adhere to regulatory and risk standards, and maximize performance, capacity, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO).
Job responsibilities
Represents a product family of technical governance bodies
Provides feedback and proposes improvements to architecture governance practices
Guides evaluation of current technology and leads evaluation of new technologies using existing standards and frameworks
Regularly provides technical guidance and direction to support the business and its technical teams, contractors, and vendors
Develops secure and high-quality production code, and reviews and debugs code written by others
Drives decisions that influence product design, application functionality, and technical operations and processes
Serves as a function-wide subject matter expert cloud infrastructure technologies, operating systems, containers, and storage, SDK, and RDS services
Understanding of domain driven design concepts
Influences peers and project decision-makers to consider the use and application of leading-edge technologies
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Required qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Formal training or certification on software engineering concepts and 5+ years applied experience
Hands-on practical experience delivering system design, application development, testing, and operational stability
Advanced in one or more programming language(s), applications, and architecture
Advanced knowledge of software architecture, applications, and technical processes with considerable in-depth knowledge in one or more technical disciplines (e.g., cloud, artificial intelligence, machine learning, mobile, etc.)
Ability to tackle design and functionality problems independently with little to no oversight
Practical AWS cloud experience defining and deploying infrastructure as code via Terraform
Ability to interpret business requirements and develop comprehensive infrastructure solutions that incorporate strategic target state architecture, adhere to regulatory and risk standards, and maximize performance, capacity, and Total Cost of Ownership (TCO)
Adds to team culture of diversity, equity, inclusion, and respect
Preferred qualifications, capabilities, and skills
Understanding of security architecture concepts and proven ability to assess application and infrastructure designs and identify possible security gaps/vulnerabilities (threat modeling) as well as solutions for remediation.
Knowledge of Risk technology related applications architecture is a plus
AWS Solution Architect Certification
Cloud Native Application Development is a plus
