We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the bustling city of Jersey City, New Jersey. You will be working in a dynamic and fast-paced environment, where your key responsibilities will include various accounting tasks such as account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and handling journal entries. This is a hybrid opportunity with solid benefits.

Responsibilities:

• Oversee and manage general ledger activities

• Perform account reconciliations regularly to ensure accuracy

• Conduct balance sheet reconciliations

• Handle bank reconciliations to ensure all financial data aligns

• Prepare and record journal entries for business transactions

• Utilize Microsoft Excel for various financial reporting and analysis tasks

• Perform month-end close procedures and ensure all deadlines are met

• Operate accounting software such as NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP to streamline accounting tasks

• Ensure all financial reports are prepared and delivered on time

• Continually review and improve accounting processes and procedures.

Requirements

• Must possess strong skills in account reconciliation, balance sheet reconciliation, and bank reconciliations.

• Requires proficiency in the general ledger, journal entries, and month-end close processes.

• Must be adept at using Microsoft Excel for financial calculations and data analysis.

• Experience with NetSuite, Oracle, and SAP accounting software is essential.

• The candidate must hold a degree in Accounting or a related field.

• Must have a minimum of 5 years of experience in an accounting role.

• Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail are required.

• The ability to work independently and as part of a team is essential.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills are required.

• Must be able to manage multiple tasks and meet tight deadlines.

• Demonstrated problem-solving skills with a proactive approach are essential.

• Knowledge of accounting principles, practices, standards, laws and regulations is required.
