What You Will Do:

The Sr. Manager, Animations and Hallmarks on the DMI is responsible for leading and driving marketing strategies, campaigns and launches for all Ralph Lauren Promotions and Animations to meet strategic growth objectives. Creates best-in-class global brand plans to increase brand elevation, product awareness and reach customers through new and innovative methods across 360 offerings.

Job Duties and Accountabilities

Leads under the alignment and supervision of the SVP, Global Marketing and Product Development, Seasonal 360 Global Offerings and Key Hallmarks (Concepting, Development, and Asset Release)

  • Leads team to deliver robust strategic product and marketing plans from conception to counter.

  • Drive concepting and development of seasonal themes across all Ralph Lauren Fragrances.

  • Responsible for project from ideation to execution – inclusive of (competitive/market insights, trends analysis, launch strategy) and partnership with Market Teams to ensure comprehensive and on-time 360 launch.

  • Drive concept development of product sets, coffrets, and gwps leveraging marketing insights on pricing, mix and competitive trends. Innovations must align to business needs and brand equity, as well as the larger seasonal theme.

  • Partner with brand teams to ensure gifting assortments align with brand launch strategies.

  • Ensure the overall feasibility and profitability of projects through cost of goods management. Partner closely with finance on animation budgets and product margins.

  • Create vision for promo/animation packaging and work with creative on package development. Oversee artwork process including reviewing and approving all mechanicals.

  • Work with Ralph Lauren Agency, the license, and build partnership with key stakeholders.

  • Assess digital needs and develop concepts/assets in alignment with SVP & Brand President. Deliver to timeline.

  • Propose need gaps based on analysis of competitive landscape and trends that align with the brand identity. Work with markets and IBD to secure profitable and right sized assortment offering.

  • Keep up-to-date on the latest competitive trends, and insights across platforms (social media, blog, print/digital). Leverage and share intelligence with Creative and peers, and use to influence and generate new innovations.

  • Work directly with key markets as needed to develop regional campaigns and assets (e.g. China Tmall & key hallmarks, etc)

Work with cross-functional teams and Ralph Lauren fashion to:

  • Generate initial briefs and create integrated consumer launch plans to be vet by VP including hero assets, POS displays, social assets, PDP copy, social activations, and more. Deliver to timeline.

  • Ensure content meets the Brand DNA and brand objectives.

  • Meet all DRIVE timelines for projects.

Key Challenges, Issues and Complexity

Establish a fortified relationship with the Ralph Lauren Agency, while working to bring in new agencies that can support Ralph’s Club’s growing need for disruption and innovation.

Balance ongoing brand priorities and profitability objectives while supporting market needs.

Create a youthful, relevant and elevated brand projection through Global projects, as well as specific regional developments (i.e. Asia, US).

  • Responsible for the delivery of animation and gifting strategies that support in partnership with the Finance, Digital, Comms, and IBD team. This role works directly in conjunction with Development and Ops to drive the on-time creation of product.

  • Core responsibility includes the management of budget and on-time delivery of all projects (product/asset suites).

What We Are Looking For:

Required Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree required, Master’s Degree preferred. Candidate should have at least 5-10 years of industry-related marketing work experience (beauty or consumer package goods)

  • Meticulous attention to detail, strong prioritization, and organizational skills

  • Demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects with team-oriented managerial skills; manages complexity with reasoning from multiple perspectives and makes decisions

  • Ability to influence and negotiate.

  • Previous development and/or launch management skills a must

  • Strong appreciation for our business / affirmative sensitivity to the fragrance métier; understands beauty

  • Strong appreciation for our fashion and affinity to the Ralph Lauren brand

  • Proactive, ability to self-manage projects, ability to overcome obstacles independently.

  • Strong proficiency in Microsoft Suite, especially PowerPoint.

  • Excellent Interpersonal Skills (written and oral).
