Forbes Media LLC Senior Engineer in Jersey City, New Jersey
TITLE: Senior EngineerDUTIES:Develop the software tools our authors and editors use in creating online content. Contribute to existing systems and take part in the design and implementation of new technologies that drive the business forward. Design, implement, and maintain systems for Forbes' Content Management System and web-based content. Provide feature development and software engineering expertise to support front-end web development using JavaScript frameworks and cloud platforms. Develop, maintain, and deploy new features for Forbes’ content management system. Develop and deploy web interfaces and integrate in cloud-based systems. Support updates to existing codebases and build new systems from the ground up. Lead projects on a technical level by participating in and leading Agile/Scrum meetings and participating in code reviews. Lead unit and integration testing to analyze and resolve emerging technical issues. Develop features with high-quality, maintainable, and scalable code, employing a deep understanding of the full technical stack. Collaborate with product owners and designers to provide input on product design from a technical perspective, and mentor fellow engineers. 100% remote. Position based in Jersey City, NJ (Corporate HQ) or based out of home office within the U.S.SALARY:$169,229 - $169,229/ yearWORK SCHEDULE:40 hours / week (from 9 a.m. to 5p.m.)LOCATION:100% remote. At least five (5) years of experience with Front-End Web Development in any job title/occupation/position meeting the minimum requirements of the Senior Engineer role.
